Final School Council Meeting, ABC Day, and… Fun Fair!
The school year is nearing the end, but there is still lots going on before the year wraps up! This week is full of big events:
Tomorrow morning (Wednesday, June 12), we will have our final ABC Day for 2012/2013! Leave your car at home, or park and walk, or ride a bike or scooter, or bus or subway to school, and help do your part for the Earth. We are celebrating our second annual GOLD Eco-school status for the 2012-13 school year – congratulations to parents, teachers and students for helping us reach this goal!
Tomorrow evening (Wednesday, June 12), we will have our final School Council meeting for 2012/2013. It will be held in the gym at 6:45. As always, everyone is welcome and encouraged to come, and there will be free babysitting available.
And most exciting, this Saturday, June 15th is our annual Fun Fair! We are anticipating another amazing day of fun for the kids and families. As we prepare, a few important notes:
- Order Forms: If you haven’t sent in your order form, it’s not too late, but please do so ASAP. You can download and print a form here (https://davisvilleparents.com/forms/) and send it in, with payment, with your child to your teacher or drop it off with Norah in the office. Cheques can be made out to Davisville PS school council.
- Volunteers: Our Fun Fair is completely organized and run by parent volunteers. This year’s fair is going to be bigger and better than ever, which is awesome but it also means more help is needed. We have had an amazing response from our parent community (a big thank you to those of you who have already offered to volunteer!), but we still need just a few more people to lend a hand. If you could give an hour of your time, please contact Anne Sasu, our volunteer coordinator.
- Bake Sale: This year we will again be having a bake sale at the Fun Fair. If you are able to contribute a (nut-free) baked good, please bring it to the office on Friday, or directly to the bake sale table at the Fun Fair on Saturday. Your treats will be much appreciated!
