Earth month events in April – help needed!

Davisville School is proud to celebrate Earth month in April with some eco activities.  We are having a used clothing sale, used book sale, and Bag2School collection!  Reduce, reuse, recycle.

Used clothing sale:

We are collecting gently used child and adult clothes for the rummage sale (clean and ideally, sorted by size and labelled “rummage sale”)

Used book sale:

We are collecting used books in good condition in all languages!

Bag2School:

Used clothing, sheets stuffed animals, any textiles that you don’t want, and this will be bought by the pound to be reused or recycled by Bag2School. (think pillows, towels, old curtains – literally ANYthing made of fabric can be collected. Good for the earth, and good for our school funds!)

There will be drop off bins by the front office AFTER April 3rd.  If you have any questions, please just fill out the contact form below.

Multicultural Night – Dec 8, 2016 at 6pm

Davisville school students very proudly represent more than 50 countries around the world and we want to celebrate that!  During multi-cultural night you can learn about other countries, different heritages, and taste new foods.

We ask that you bring a nut-free dish that may feed 5-6 people to share in the pot-luck festivity.  As well, please feel free to dress in clothing that represents your heritage!

As always, we need help to make this event a success.  We want to have different cultural activities at this event (e.g. traditional dance, Mehndi (henna) tattooing, Chinese paper cutting) and would love help.  If you are interested in sharing a piece of your heritage or helping in any way, please contact Ms. Harte & Ms. Harnick using the form below.
