The TDSB has prepared a “Frequently Asked Questions” document to answer questions and share information with parents and the broader community about the Davisville Redevelopment Project. The new FAQ can be found on our Redevelopment FAQ page.
For more background information on the potential redevelopment of our school, please see our main Redevelopment page.
The school meeting on redevelopment that was to be held on Tuesday, April 17 will be rescheduled.
In meetings held on April 5th, it was determined that further discussions are needed, with the Local School and Community Design Team and with other parties, before we hold a school community meeting.
For nearly a year, a Local School and Community Design Team (LSCDT) has been meeting to discuss and prioritize the future needs of our growing school. The Local School and Community Design Team (LSCDT) is made up of:
- parent representatives from Davisville and Spectrum
- our principal
- teacher representatives from both schools
- representatives from both daycares
- our school board trustee
- representatives from neighboring community associations
- TDSB staff and consulting architects
… is being discussed with the TDSB now.
The Building and Land Use Committee was set up by School Council to give our school community a way to discuss and prioritize our needs in any redevelopment of our school. We have two representatives on the Board’s Local School and Community Design Team (LSCDT). Our LSCDT reps need to hear from you be sure they know what matters most to our school community.
The TDSB has begun a formal process intended to redevelop the Davisville school site. Important decisions will be made in the next few weeks. Now is the time for you to tell us what you want and need for your school – this is a once in 50+ years opportunity.
