One of the unique and wonderful parts of our school community is the Deaf Hard of Hearing program and our school building was also the longtime home of the Metropolitan Toronto School for the Deaf.
As our school council chair Sarah Miller said in a recent email, we feel a true sense of loss at the announcement that the TDSB has decided to relocate the Deaf Hard of Hearing department (staff and students) to Faywood ABC Public School, as of September 2014.
This evening (Tuesday, March 25th) at 7:00 PM, the school is holding an open community meeting regarding this move at Davisville in the gym. This will be an opportunity to ask any questions, share thoughts and feelings and learn a bit more about Faywood.
Everyone from the whole school community is welcome.
