Class Connectors
Welcome, Class Connectors!
Thank you for volunteering to be a Class Connector! Your role is vital in building our school community, supporting fellow parents, and fostering an inclusive and connected environment. As a Class Connector, you help strengthen the ties between families, teachers, and the school by encouraging communication, engagement, and school spirit.
On this page, you'll find resources, guides, and templates to support you throughout the year. These tools are here to make your role easier and more impactful as you help create a positive classroom community.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to this year’s Class Connector Coordinator, Joshua Gelber.
Thank you for all that you do—your efforts make a big difference! 🌟
Guide & Tips
Please review this guide to get familiar with what Class Connectors do.
Apart from being a communication link to families, many class communicators focus on fostering a class community. Here are some of the things we've done, but this is completely optional:
Create a Whatsapp Group that is optional for families to join. This has worked great for sharing tips, updates, and remembering things like library days.
Park dates when the weather is nice to provide an opportunity for parents to get to know each other and for kids to hang out outside of school
We can't share a class list that the teachers provide us, so some have started their own list that is voluntary to put information to set playdates etc.
We've also approached teachers to see if there is anything needed for the classroom (ex. supplies, resources etc) that parents are willing to bring or donate.
